Job summary

Amazon seeks an executive leader to oversee data center operations and drive strategic initiatives across capacity, automation, and standardization. The Infrastructure Delivery Cluster Manager will guide a team, manage budgets, and ensure high-performance delivery with minimal defects across AWS data centers.

The role requires deep experience in data center management, network cabling, and project leadership, with travel up to 20% and a focus on safety, security, and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical work related to computer systems and technology components.
• 5+ years management experience in operations, critical infrastructure, manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.
• 3+ years’ experience implementing LEAN/6 Sigma methodology (continuous improvement, DMAIC/DVADV, 5 Whys, Root Cause analysis, etc.)
• 7+ Years of experience in working with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment, and experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies within a data center-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators, project management, coaching, and creating documentation.
• Manage inbound capacity from receiving through deployment stages
• Manage the installation network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment
• Guide, train and educate staff on the best practices related to all service owner issues
• Manage tasks and deliverables across small to large-size projects
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels
• Host weekly staff meetings
• Drive compliance to Amazon performance management requirements
• Up to 10-20% travel
