Qualifications

• Experience creating reports, interpreting metrics and driving overall insights or analysis.
• Experience in vendor management.
• 4+ years of experience in a data center technology role and/or 4+ years of knowledge in TCP/IP networking, network cabling, fiber, optic types, and test equipment.
• 4+ years of experience in management/team lead function.
• Data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.
• Experience in automation or monitoring frameworks, deployment or development.
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma analytical techniques.
• Experience developing operational metrics.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign tasks to data center staff, manage projects, and document processes.
• Manage inbound capacity from receiving through deployment stages.
• Manage network installation and cabling in a data center.
• Guide and train staff on service owner best practices.
• Manage tasks across projects of various sizes.
• Develop and oversee policies to meet industry best practices and SLAs.
• Provide weekly reports to the Data Center Manager.
• Coordinate team resources for projects, emergencies, change management, and on-call needs.
• Recruit and train data technicians.
• Lead weekly staff meetings.
• Ensure compliance with Amazon performance standards.
