Job summary

CoreSite is hiring a Critical Operations Engineer II to join our Data Center Operations team on swing shift. You will operate and troubleshoot critical electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems to ensure uptime and reliability while guiding the next generation of technicians.

You’ll work Sunday-Thursday 2:00pm-10:00pm, collaborate with vendors and customers, document issues in CMMS, and contribute to process improvements while prioritizing safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply technical knowledge effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot mission-critical electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems to ensure uptime and reliability.
• Perform facility inspections, respond to abnormal conditions, and document findings.
• Track, trend, and analyze system performance; utilize CMMS to manage work orders and maintenance.
• Provide advanced remote hands, manage trouble tickets, incidents, and customer requests.
• Lead administrative activities across CMMS, ticketing, monitoring, and other operational platforms; maintain accurate documentation, provide timely updates, and coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
• Provide technical guidance and operational leadership to less experienced team members during routine operations, maintenance activities, and incident response.
