Job summary

STACK Infrastructure is seeking a Critical Operations Technician to manage day-to-day data center operations on-site at Manassas, VA. You will monitor electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to abnormal conditions while coordinating with the operations team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a data center or mission-critical operations role.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment (UPS, Transformers, PDUs, RPPs, Chillers, CRAH, CRAC, STS, ATS, Pre-action systems).
• Knowledge of NFPA70e, NFPA72, NFPA25 and fire life safety compliance standards.
• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facility systems (Electrical, Mechanical, Building Monitoring, and Control).
• Track and trend operational characteristics; provide feedback on standards and processes.
• Assist with aggressive preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate and oversee power installations and upgrades; manage inventory and equipment labeling.
• Provide day-to-day customer service and support; incident escalation and follow-up reporting.
