Job summary

STACK Infrastructure in Santa Teresa, NM, is seeking a Critical Operations Manager to lead the data center operations team, ensuring uptime and safety across electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems. You will collaborate with senior leadership on maintenance programs, vendor management, and site budgets, while mentoring staff in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a data center or other mission-critical operations role.
• 2-3 years' experience in administering and managing facility preventative maintenance programs.
• 2-3 years' experience in vendor and project management.
• Knowledge of data center (hyperscale, enterprise, and colocation) industries.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications and database housing software.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well in stressful situations.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in data centers (UPS, Transformers, PDU, Chillers, CRAH/CRAC, STS, ATS, Pre-action).
• Knowledge of NFPA70e, NFPA72, NFPA25 and related fire life safety/building codes.
• Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness to work outside normal business hours, including weekends and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement a standardized safety culture across STACK data centers.
• Serve as subject matter expert for electrical, mechanical and fire life safety systems.
• Advise leadership on preventive and corrective maintenance status.
• Operate, monitor, and respond to abnormal facility conditions.
• Develop and manage site CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
• Create detailed procedures for maintenance events and emergencies.
• Supervise vendor relationships, procurement, and billing processes.
• Lead incident reporting and root cause analyses.
