Job summary

STACK Infrastructure in Manassas, VA seeks an Assistant Critical Operations Manager to support a local data center campus. The ACOM assists the Critical Operations Manager in maintaining electrical, mechanical, fire life safety, base building and other data center systems.

You will lead safety programs, train staff, manage budgets, oversee projects, vendor relations, and ensure uptime. This role requires 4–5 years in data center operations, strong knowledge of NFPA standards, and willingness to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 4–5 years in a data center or similar mission-critical operations role.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Vendor and project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers (UPS, PDUs, Chillers, CRAH/CRAC, STS, ATS).
• Familiarity with NFPA70e/72/25 fire life safety standards.
• Willingness to work outside normal hours and be on-call.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement a standardized culture of always working safely across STACK data centers.
• Serve as datacenter subject matter expert for electrical, mechanical, fire life safety, and other data center systems.
• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions within the facility.
• Assist in managing site budgets (CapEx and OpEx) and forecasting.
• Manage vendor relationships and service contracts.
• Create detailed technical procedures for maintenance events, emergencies, and site evolutions.
• Perform expert technical review of procedures, standards, and policies.
• Provide on-call support for emergencies and incidents.
