Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Critical Facility Technician to operate, monitor, and maintain essential data center infrastructure in a 24/7 environment. You will work across day, swing, and night shifts to ensure uptime and safety.

Responsibilities include using BMS/EPMS/DCIM, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordinating vendor work, with a strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in data center operations or critical facilities.
• Experience in live data centers or mission-critical environments.
• Hands-on experience with UPS, generators, switchgear, HVAC, or building automation systems.
• Certifications such as CDCTP, CDCP, OSHA 10/30, electrical safety, HVAC, or other credentials.
• Ability to read electrical one-lines and use BMS/EPMS/DCIM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain UPS, generators, switchgear, and cooling units.
• Monitor systems via BMS, EPMS, and DCIM; respond to alarms.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per SOPs/MOPs/EOPs.
• Troubleshoot issues and support incident response.
• Coordinate vendor activities and maintain logs.
• Ensure lockout/tagout and safety procedures are followed.
• Perform routine rounds, inspections, and documentation.
• Support commissioning and minor project work.
