Job summary

Core Scientific in Pecos, TX is seeking an Assistant Critical Facilities Manager to support data center operations, maintenance, and leadership of technicians under the Critical Facilities team. You will help ensure 100% uptime and safe, reliable infrastructure.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 3+ years in mission-critical environments, 1+ year of shift supervision, a valid driver’s license, CMMS experience, and the ability to read complex drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 3+ years in mission-critical environments.
• 1+ year of direct shift-based staff supervision.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with CMMS and preventive maintenance programs.
• Ability to read complex drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operation and maintenance of data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems.
• Build a staff of technicians and ensure 100% uptime through effective supervision.
• Manage power and cooling capacity and monitor environmental conditions.
• Support 24x7 data center operations and on-call activities.
• Coordinate data center construction and commissioning, and oversee transitions to steady-state operations.
• Review preventive maintenance results and provide guidance on issues found.
• Oversee CMMS accuracy and reporting; produce operational insights as needed.
• Ensure adherence to customer SLAs and change control activities.
• Coordinate work with outside contractors and vendors; communicate with management and customers.
• Provide site tours for current and prospective customers as required.
