Job summary

KALCON is seeking a Cost Manager to oversee budgets, pay applications, EACs/forecasting, and change management across data center construction projects. This hybrid role requires travel and close collaboration with the Director of Construction, procurement, and cost consultants to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.

Candidates should have 3+ years in construction cost management, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong skills in Procore, Excel, and PM tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cost management experience on construction projects, preferably data centers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance or related field.
• Proficiency with cost-management software (e.g., Procore), Excel, PowerPoint, and PM tools; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assemble project proformas with the Director of Construction and team.
• Review GC pre-construction budgets and GMP pricing.
• Lead cost controls, touchpoints with cost consultants, and reporting.
• Prepare EACs, update forecasts in Procore, and snapshot monthly.
• Manage change orders, risk, and vendor negotiations for cost effectiveness.
• Support procurement and budget reconciliations with stakeholders.
• Provide monthly and ad-hoc financial analyses and process improvements.
