Job summary

KALCON is seeking a Cost Manager to oversee project budgets, pay applications, EAC/forecasting, and change management for data center construction. The role partners with the Director of Construction, PMs, procurement, cost consultants, and the GC to ensure accurate financials and strong controls, with Procore proficiency.

The position is hybrid with travel to job sites, offering comprehensive benefits and a focus on process efficiency and reporting excellence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cost management experience on construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in CM, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
• Procore and MS Office suite experience; strong communication skills.
• Ability to analyze drawings, specs, and contracts with accuracy.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting, reporting, risk assessment, and VE.
• Leadership and teamwork with conflict resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate proformas with construction leadership and subcontractors.
• Review pre‑construction budgets, GMP pricing, and cost controls.
• Manage pay apps, invoicing, and vendor/contract administration.
• Prepare EACs, track commitments, and update Procore monthly.
• Monitor spend, forecast expenditures, and report variances.
• Oversee change orders, risk assessments, and audits.
• Support procurement and vendor negotiations; ensure budget integrity.
