Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Cooling Systems Engineer to design mechanical systems for Modular Data Center solutions, focusing on cooling, humidity control, and air renovation. You will coordinate documentation and ensure schedules and quality standards are met.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, SMEs, and Designers; perform heat load and airflow calculations, select equipment, and develop schedules. Some travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (HVAC or Thermal Dynamics preferred).
• 2+ years in cooling system design and implementation, especially in data centers.
• Experience with DX refrigerant systems, chilled water systems, economizer systems, and airflow management.
• Familiarity with industry standards (TC9.9, Uptime Tier Topology, IECC, ASHRAE 90.1/90.4, IBC, IMC).
• Proficient with REVIT, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Design and review mechanical cooling systems to meet customer requirements.
• Perform heat load, cooling capacity, airflow, humidity control calculations.
• Select equipment including coolers, heaters, humidifiers, ERVs, and ventilation fans.
• Develop mechanical schedules and piping one-lines; create system sequences of operations.
• Document changes to maintain revision control; provide technical support to factory production and site teams.
