Job summary

Prime Data Centers is seeking a Controls Engineer to support master planning and design across a portfolio of datacenter projects. You will work closely with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, and Operations to develop standards, review specifications, and lead control system design for BAS/BMS/EPMS/DCIM solutions.

The role requires deep experience in data center mechanical design, strong software skills (AutoCAD, Revit, CFD), and a focus on ROI-driven engineering with sustainability

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university preferred.
• 5 years of experience in mission critical and/or data center mechanical design and construction; 7–10 years preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Psychrometric analysis, Load/Energy calculations, and CFD analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support master planning and concept designs as part of investment planning, review, and approval processes.
• Review and update PDC design and construction standards with stakeholders.
• Author and review RFPs for controls bids and perform bid leveling/scope verification.
• Serve as SME for BAS/BMS/EPMS/DCIM controls and review deliverables (S&O, P&IDs, sequences, points lists).
• Conduct value engineering analyses and ROI-based recommendations with design and cost teams.
• Support owner reviews of design/construct deliverables including drawings, specs, submittals, and RFIs.
