Job summary

AWS Infrastructure Services seeks a controls professional to troubleshoot and maintain BMS/EPMS in AWS data centers. You will coordinate with operations, design teams, and vendors to ensure safe, reliable electrical power and climate control systems.

You will lead project scopes, schedules, budgets, and LOE, while supporting procurement and commissioning activities across multiple data centers. Strong engineering background and vendor management are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant controls experience, or 10+ years of controls experience in lieu of a degree.
• 4+ years of general project or vendor management experience (RFPs, bidding, change orders, QC, RFIs)

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for BMS/EPMS issues.
• Train and assist internal customers in BMS/EPMS design, configuration, and operation.
• Provide technical support to operations during the data center life cycle.
• Review quarterly maintenance results and resolve action items.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and LOE for customer projects.
• Manage scope, schedule, finance, and execution of BMS/EPMS improvement projects.
• Support procurement: RFPs, vendor proposals, and purchase orders.
• Participate in AWS on‑call for immediate BMS/EPMS support.
• Attend meetings, report status to Controls and stakeholders.
• Support commissioning activities for controls projects.
• Refine SOO and assist design with feedback on controls logic.
• Develop and modify controls logic programming and GUIs.
• Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigate complex situations.
• Manage service contracts for BMS/EPMS.
• Visit in-operation data centers to troubleshoot and supervise vendor work.
