Job summary

Vertiv Corporation seeks a BMS/Controls Engineer to design Facility/Building Management Systems for data centers, addressing power modules, IT modules and essential infrastructure. The role involves creating detailed drawings, OTs, and sequences of operation, coordinating with integration partners and testing teams.

The candidate should have a degree in electrical engineering and 4+ years in controls engineering, with optional PE license and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Professional engineering (PE) License - optional.
  • Minimum 4 years of Controls Engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of FMS/BMS concepts and installation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Controls Engineer from pre-sales to commissioning.
  • Design FMS/BMS network architecture per customer specs.
  • Coordinate interfaces with 3rd party equipment and local controllers.
  • Develop system integration architectures and wiring diagrams.
  • Manage and support contracted integration teams for SD/DD/CD narratives.
  • Collaborate with General Contractors and field teams on construction documents.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Test and validate FMS/BMS installations with commissioning teams.
  • Travel to sites for reviews and start-up as needed.
