Job summary

Vertiv seeks a BMS Engineer to design and execute temperature control and automation systems, including PLC- and SCADA-based solutions. This role collaborates with multiple engineering disciplines to develop complete design packages across electrical power, control panels, wiring, PLC I/O, and associated devices for HVAC, access control, lighting, CCTV, and industrial automation.

Qualifications

Two- or four-year degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
Experience designing control systems for commercial HVAC and/or industrial automation applications.
Hands-on experience with PLC hardware selection, configuration, and programming using ladder logic, function block, and/or structured text.
Experience developing and configuring SCADA/HMI systems, including alarms, trends, and operator interfaces.

Responsibilities

Develop system layouts and controls designs based on construction documents and project specifications.
Design PLC architectures, control panel layouts, power distribution, network topology, and I/O assignments.
Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs and SCADA/HMI applications for monitoring, control, alarming, and data acquisition.
Prepare engineering design submittals, as-built drawings, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) documentation.
Obtain equipment cut sheets and coordinate the submittal process, including assembly of O&M packages.
