Job summary

MBP (McDonough Bolyard Peck) is seeking leaders in the design and construction industry for the Washington/Baltimore DC metro area with 10+ years of combined education and/or experience in MEP systems and complex facilities. The role focuses on owner representation, cost/schedule management, QA/QC, and successful delivery of labs, data centers, and secure facilities with SCIFs.

Qualifications

• GED plus 15 years of related experience and/or education.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field with 10+ years of related experience.
• OSHA 30-hour certification or obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Working knowledge of codes, materials, methods and tools used in construction or renovation.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-construction and on-site owner representation for medium to large-scale projects.
• Manage cost, schedule and quality on behalf of the client/owner.
• Lead or participate in progress meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
• Perform or oversee QA inspections to verify conformance with contract requirements.
• Review change orders for entitlement and price; lead or assist negotiations.
• Coordinate commissioning, punchlist, and closeout activities with stakeholders.
