Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a Development Program Manager (Data Center Construction) to lead design, pre-construction and construction activities for campus deployments.

You will partner with facilities, engineers, vendors and operations to manage budgets, schedules and risk, while presenting updates to executives. A Bachelor's degree and 8+ years in commercial construction are required, with travel up to 50% and data center delivery experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Eight or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures, including Lump Sum, Construction Management at Risk, and Design Build from development through close out.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for executive updates, and Excel for budgets.
• Be able to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects on campuses with updated budgets, schedules, and status reports.
• Create monthly development program updates for executive reviews.
• Develop master development programs for sites including campus design and capital budget.
• Manage entitlement and permitting needs for site projects.
• Implement multi-phased site development plans to meet time, budget, and quality goals.
• Write scopes of work for design, construction, and commissioning services.
• Evaluate pricing proposals for design, construction, and commissioning services.
• Coordinate with procurement on equipment delivery.
• Coordinate submittals with site stakeholders.
• Review monthly pay applications and change orders with contractors.
• Establish site construction security procedures with security teams.
• Develop deployment plans and communicate them to staff.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Product teams for custom deal solutions.
• Represent QTS in OAC meetings.
• Build relationships to enhance leadership in data center real estate.
