Job summary

Microsoft is seeking an experienced construction project manager to join the Data Center Construction organization in Phoenix, AZ. This on-site, 12-month contract role oversees large-scale data center projects from field execution through commissioning and turnover, coordinating contractors, vendors, and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in project management for mission-critical or data-center builds, proficiency with scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project), and a

Qualifications

5+ years of experience managing data center or large-scale construction projects.
3+ years using Primavera P6 or MS Project for scheduling.
Bachelor's degree in related field; PMP preferred.
Experience coordinating contractors and budgets.
Experience working with electrical/infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities

Oversee large-scale data center construction projects from field execution to turnover.
Coordinate multi-workstream activities with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
Lead project meetings and manage risks, safety, quality, schedule.
Review contracts, change orders, and cost estimates.
Support turnover from construction to operations teams.
