Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is hiring a Data Center Construction Manager to lead electrical and mechanical system builds for AWS data centers.

You will work on-site daily with construction trades, managing cost, schedule, and quality while coordinating with Operations, Networking, Security, and Commissioning teams to deliver reliable, energy-efficient facilities. The role emphasizes driving construction projects, vendor management, and ensuring adherence to safety standards, codes, and AWS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction.
• Manage construction projects for initiatives increasing data center resiliency.
• Conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs for data centers.
• Manage construction documents including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Ensure construction project quality control.
• Record and report key construction metrics to team members and management.
• Lead teams to perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of equipment failures.
