Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead construction projects for AWS data centers. You will be on-site daily, coordinating with operations, networking, controls, and security teams, and directing contractors to meet cost, schedule, and quality goals.

The role requires US citizenship and a strong background in electrical/mechanical infrastructure for critical facilities. You will drive cost, schedule, and quality while partnering with internal teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience leading construction projects in data centers or critical infrastructure.
• Experience with power management and monitoring systems.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Negotiate with general contractors and evaluate bids with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction activities.
• Manage construction projects for initiatives improving data center resiliency.
• Conduct constructability reviews of electrical/mechanical designs.
• Manage construction documents including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Ensure project quality control and drive root-cause analysis for equipment failures.
