Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead large-scale MEP-based projects and own scope, schedule, and budget. You will work daily on site with construction trades, driving cost, schedule, and quality while coordinating with Operations, Networking, and Security teams to deliver data centers that support customers.

You will negotiate with general contractors, develop project scopes, review bids, and manage documentation from RFIs to closeouts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 12+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• 8+ years of experience constructing and managing complex MEP systems.
• 8+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with general contractors during bidding, award, execution and closeout.
• Negotiate bids and evaluate proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Create project scope and RFPs; perform financial analysis of construction.
• Manage projects to increase data center resiliency.
• Oversee constructability reviews for electrical and mechanical designs.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Ensure quality control and report key construction metrics.
