Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead pre-construction and construction for a Spartanburg, SC project. You will oversee schedule, safety, and quality, guiding contractors and vendors, and coordinating commissioning and BIM-enabled workflows.

The role requires strong CPM planning, team leadership, and communications with Owners and Jacobs management. You’ll manage a team on complex data center work, align with safety culture, and drive cost, schedule, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.
• Experience leading a Data Center project team and managing subcontractors and vendors.
• Knowledgeable of 120VAC power tie-ins, sensors, controls wiring, and data cabling.
• Familiar with NFPA70E and CPM scheduling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Data Center projects exceeding $10M TIC with a field staff of 5+.
• Review contractor performance against schedule and quality targets.
• Plan pre-construction and site logistics for safety, cost, and schedule.
• Lead daily/weekly contractor meetings to drive safety, schedule, cost.
• Audit quantities and review contractor/ Vendor execution plans.
• Support IAP efforts for schedule sequencing and change management.
