Job summary

Vantage is seeking a Director of Construction to manage a campus that could include multiple buildings and teams. You will provide overall leadership and drive the success of large-scale new development construction projects through all life-cycle stages from initiation to turnover.

Responsibilities include leading design phases, managing budgets and schedules, and closing out projects with thorough handoffs to Operations. Significant travel may be required as the business evolves.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or equivalent.
• 15–20 years preferred in managing large construction projects; 12–15 years required.
• Experience in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP construction management is a requirement.
• Data center experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and promote the Vantage values: Trust, Accountability, Respect and Agility.
• Lead, develop, and mentor construction teams; align with goals and performance expectations.
• Track staff utilization and manage resource allocation and project workflow.
• Support sales and leasing by engaging customers and advancing capital improvement projects.
• Lead Pre-Construction activities: design phases, budgeting, vendor selection, and contract negotiations.
• Oversee on-site construction and commissioning; manage budgets, schedule, and progress reporting.
• Oversee project closeout and handoff to Operations and customers.
• Manage vendor/contractor relationships end-to-end and ensure performance.
• Establish and enforce project controls and continuous improvement loops.
• Travel 10-30%; may increase over time.
