Job summary

Switch is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead day-to-day execution of data center projects at our Reno campus. You will be responsible for safety, schedule, cost control, and field coordination on site.

You will ensure contractors and internal teams deliver work meeting Switch standards, with daily on-site presence and active field participation. This role requires strong coordination across multiple teams and a focus on project milestones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data center construction or complex commercial construction
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, and contractor performance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience using construction management software such as Procore

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite construction execution for assigned data center projects
• Monitor contractor safety performance and enforce site safety standards
• Conduct regular site walks to identify risks, quality issues, and corrective actions
• Manage project schedules and address delays before they affect milestones
• Track project costs and support cost control with contractors and internal teams
• Coordinate with design, engineering, operations, networking, security, controls, supply chain, and commissioning partners
• Provide constructability input during design and active construction
• Support logistics planning and equipment deliveries
• Identify project risks early and implement mitigation plans
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and permits
• Deliver accurate weekly and monthly project updates to leadership
• Partner with the Senior Construction Manager to support site execution and reporting
