Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead construction project management for new builds and capital projects across AWS data centers.

You will own project scope, quality, schedule, and budget while coordinating with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security and Commissioning teams on site daily. You will drive cost, schedule, and quality on vendor and contractor engagements for data centers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience carrying new design concepts through development to deployment.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Windows OS.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and project closeout/punch list phases.
• Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction.
• Manage construction projects for initiatives increasing data center resiliency.
• Conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs for new or optimized data centers.
• Manage construction documents including submittal review, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Ensure construction project quality control.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
