Job summary

Turner & Townsend seeks an experienced Health & Safety Manager to support large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of delivering safe, compliant project outcomes while coordinating with internal teams and clients.

You will own contracts and budgets, develop detailed project plans, conduct site inspections, and drive risk mitigation across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field or equivalent.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in HSE leadership on construction projects.
• CCM certification preferred; OSHA 30 and BCSP credentials valued.
• Proven experience implementing and monitoring project HSE plans or contractor site safety plans.
• Excellent time management and ability to deliver quality on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction efforts and provide safety leadership across projects.
• Manage contracts and budgets for direct contracts, aligning with cost budgets.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines and resources.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations via site inspections and audits.
• Identify and address quality, safety, health and environmental issues.
• Coordinate risk management and GC actions on safety matters.
• Support design by reviewing drawings for constructability.
• Produce monthly and site progress reporting with the Construction Field Representative.
• Record meetings and coordinate RFI/submittal processes with cost control.
• Assist client PM in coordinating safety, QA/QC and labor relations programs.
• Set and track project success criteria: time, cost, technical quality.
• Contribute to purchasing strategy and schedule ownership with project team.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and closeout items.
