Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to join our team to support a major data center construction program in Ohio. This on-site role requires regular presence at the project site in Miami County, near Cincinnati, as the program progresses through planning, procurement, and closeout.

You will lead cost management activities, develop estimates, manage reporting, and advise clients on commercial risk and value engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of cost management experience in the construction industry.
• RICS accreditation is valuable (or in progress).
• Experience supporting cost management on medium to large construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Advise client on strategies, manage prequalification of vendors, assess proposals, bids, and bid leveling documents, make final recommendations to the client, attend and chair bid interviews.
• Develop project estimates for construction, fees, direct work and other costs; review estimates by junior team members; present to client; provide value engineering and risk assessments.
• Manage cost reporting: establish schedule, review and present cost reports and forecasts; maintain budget and spend forecast; run risk register; host regular project reviews.
• Manage cost control: review payment applications, advise on entitlements, assess change orders, resolve disputes, and monitor revisions.
• Assist with invoicing and close-out activities; benchmark performance against similar commissions; conduct post-contract reviews and lessons learned.
