Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Commissioning Manager to oversee commissioning on data center projects in Boling, TX. You will guide the commissioning process from plan development through start-up, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure proper installation and performance of systems.

Lead multi-discipline teams, manage schedules and budgets, and drive safe, quality execution on site. Previous data center commissioning and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in construction project management with mechanical/electrical experience.
• Three+ years in HVAC, fire protection, control systems or electrical testing.
• Data center commissioning experience with hyper-scale clients.
• Lean principles and construction law knowledge are desirable; OSHA 10/30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage commissioning scope and schedules; coordinate with contractors and project team; draft subcontracts.
• Lead regular project meetings; set expectations and track partner schedules; escalate risks.
• Provide weekly progress reports on scope, schedule and budget to management.
• Ensure commissioning meets quality, schedule, and customer requirements.
• Review submittals, designs, drawings, and specifications for commissioning.
• Develop test forms and scripts; approve execution and closeout documentation.
