Job summary

Fortis Construction, Inc. seeks a Commissioning Manager to lead the development and execution of a building‑wide Commissioning plan for data center projects.

You will coordinate vendors, subcontractors, and commissioning resources, while providing hands‑on guidance and resolving complex issues on schedule-driven milestones. The role requires technical expertise in data center startup, plus the ability to drive Cx processes, controls and procedures to adapt to evolving project needs.

Qualifications

• Technical engineering degree, or equivalent hands‑on technical experience (minimum 5 years).
• Experience in leading a team on multiple projects.
• Familiarity with NFPA70E electrical safety and LOTO programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commissioning plan and schedule aligned with master schedule.
• Coordinate vendors, subcontractors and commissioning resources.
• Provide hands‑on management and guidance to team members.
• Ensure Cx activities are documented per plan and budgets.
• Engage with client and Cx agent to meet project requirements.
• Review subcontracts and drive early scope clarity with Preconstruction.
• Lead design reviews and provide SME guidance on technical items.
• Work with M&E on submittals, RFIs, and technical QA/QC.
