Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC is seeking a Commissioning Engineer II to lead multi-level commissioning of data center base building and electrical/mechanical systems. The role includes testing, documentation, and coordination with third-party agents, with up to 75% travel across the U.S.

and some night/weekend work. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data center engineering and commissioning, with strong MS Office skills and the ability to travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of work experience in data center engineering, commissioning, project management, or equivalent.
• Background in CCTV and Access control systems, network, telecommunications, and/or fire detection/suppression systems.
• US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all site construction activity and installations, coordinating with QTS Development Team and external resources.
• Develop commissioning plans for Level 1–5 systems including connectivity, network infrastructure and life safety.
• Conduct commissioning activities, ensuring systems are installed, tested, and validated to standards.
• Identify issues and drive resolution with project team to enable continuous improvement.
• Create and review commissioning documentation, including test procedures and as-built documentation.
• Witness testing and validate sequence of operations and documentation receipt.
• Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, contractors, and facilities operations.
• Implement QA measures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Develop SOPs, MOPs, and ERP for operations teams.
