Job summary

Department of Administrative Services in Salem is hiring a Colocation Technician (Information Systems Specialist 6) to provide hands-on IT infrastructure support across data center and remote sites. You will lead provisioning for colocation spaces, manage network, power, and hardware deployments, and assist customers on the Data Center floor and via phone.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of information systems experience in Data Center operations.
• An Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND three (3) years of information systems experience in: Data Center operations.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND one (1) year of information systems experience in: Data Center operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical troubleshooting, provisioning leadership, and inventory support for Data Center Services’ computer systems and remote sites.
• Lead provisioning for colocation spaces and infrastructure services, ensuring proper deployment of network, power, and hardware installations.
• Assist customers on the Data Center floor and via phone; manage tickets, escalate alerts, and coordinate with internal teams.
