Job summary

Giga Energy is seeking a Civil Engineer to drive the full lifecycle of site development for data center infra. You’ll support feasibility, design development, and enforcement under mentoring engineers, with hands-on CAD and field exposure.

The role is based in an in‑office culture with full‑time onsite expectations in Houston, and exceptions for rare top talent living elsewhere. ABET‑accredited degree required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 2–4 years in land development, industrial construction, or data center infra.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and BIM workflows.
• Working knowledge of hydrology, soil mechanics, and reinforced concrete design.
• PE license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing site layouts, grading, drainage, and utilities under senior guidance.
• Support site assessments and environmental impact studies for project viability.
• Research local codes and assist permitting with authorities.
• Contribute to project schedules and budgets; coordinate with vendors.
• Support structural calculations for equipment housing and foundations.
• Perform site inspections to verify conformance with specs and safety.
