Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the safe, reliable operation of mission-critical data center infrastructure. You will manage UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, HVAC, and life-safety systems to maximize uptime and resiliency.

You will oversee a multidisciplinary team, coordinate vendor activities, and enforce procedures, safety, and regulatory standards across BMS, EPMS, and DCIM platforms. Extensive leadership and hands-on expertise are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in critical facilities or data centers.
• 3–5+ years in supervisory roles.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and one-lines.
• Experience with NFPA/OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and maintenance of mission-critical infrastructure.
• Oversee 24/7 data center operations and incident response.
• Supervise multidisciplinary technical team.
• Coordinate vendor, contractor activities, testing and turnover.
• Develop SOPs, procedures, and change management.
