Job summary

Equiliem is seeking a Data Center Technician I to support installation, maintenance, testing, and decommissioning of network cabling and infrastructure within a data center environment in Fort Wayne, IN. The role involves pulling and terminating copper and fiber cabling, rack and stack, and pathway installation.

Ideal candidates have low-voltage or infrastructure cabling experience, OSHA-10 certification, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts transitioning to 6 days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience with structured cabling and low-voltage infrastructure.
• Experience pulling copper and fiber optic cable.
• Familiarity with Cat5/Cat6 cabling and basic testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install and decommission networking cables and infrastructure in a data center.
• Pull, route, dress, label, and terminate copper and fiber cabling.
• Perform rack and stack activities for network equipment.
• Conduct basic fiber testing and troubleshooting.
• Document test results and maintain project records.
• Follow safety and quality standards on all tasks.
