Job summary

Equiliem is seeking a Data Center Technician to support installation, testing, and maintenance of fiber optic and low-voltage infrastructure in data center environments. You will perform fiber termination, Fluke and OTDR testing, rack and stack equipment, and buildouts according to blueprints and project specs.

The role is construction-focused, not IT support, requiring 2+ years of data center and fiber experience, and willingness to work 10–12 hour days with significant overtime as projects

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data center tech or related field.
• Hands-on fiber optic experience required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work extended shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber rough-in and cable infrastructure installations.
• Terminate fiber and label cables per specs.
• Test with Fluke and OTDR to verify installation.
• Rack and stack equipment and build server racks.
• Read blueprints and follow installation plans.
• Maintain safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
