Job summary

Equiliem is seeking an Entry-Level Data Center Technician in Canton, MS, to support fiber and structured cabling Installations in data center environments. You will learn on-the-job with training and mentorship, performing rough‑ins, terminations, rack work, and equipment installation while following safety procedures.

The role emphasizes physically demanding work, safety-conscious performance, and willingness to travel as required. Typical shifts start early and may involve overtime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years in data center, cabling, telecom, or related field.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints/installation plans.
• Able to lift up to 50 lb and move up to 75 lb.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable infrastructure and fiber rough‑in installations.
• Dress, route, organize, and label cabling per specs.
• Perform cable and fiber terminations.
• Rack and stack customer equipment.
• Build out server racks and follow rack elevations.
• Install fiber trays, ladder racks, power trays, cabinets and related infra.
• Assist with material receiving, inventory handling, and hardware assembly.
• Support Outside Plant (OSP) installations, routing fiber into data centers.
