Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Technician II to install and decommission network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment. The role requires pulling and terminating copper and fiber cables, splicing, troubleshooting circuits, and maintaining documentation.

You will work with stakeholders to ensure safety, quality workmanship, and adherence to data center standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic telecom hand tools.
• Understanding of customer service expectations.
• Clear understanding of job safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret job floor plans.
• Familiarity with wiring schemes and testing procedures.
• Ability to pull low voltage cables and perform field terminations.

Responsibilities

• Install and decommission network cabling in a Data Center environment.
• Deliver repeatable, quality solutions and process improvements.
• Provide project progress feedback to stakeholders.
• Maintain data center cleanliness and comply with safety standards.
• Follow all production, safety and quality codes and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve project obstacles.
• Read blueprints and redline documents; understand Data Center infrastructure.
