Job summary

CBRE | DIRECTLINE, a CBRE Data Center Solutions business, is seeking a Technician II to support data center network and cabling installation, decommissioning, and maintenance. The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and data center cleanliness while collaborating with stakeholders.

You will work with copper and fiber testing, blueprints, MDF/IDF, terminating, labeling, and mid-size project execution.

Qualifications

• Current LEA or LEB license required.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Knowledge and use of basic telecom hand tools.
• Understand job floor plans and blueprints.
• Reading wiring schemes and testing.
• Able to pull low voltage cable and perform terminations.

Responsibilities

• Installation/decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center.
• Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes.
• Provide structured feedback on project progress to stakeholders.
• Maintain Data Center cleanliness and safety standards.
• Follow all production, safety, and quality codes and best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Read blueprints and build documentation; update redlines as needed.
• Work with MDF/IDF closets and dress cables; perform terminations and labeling.
