Job summary

CBRE | DIRECTLINE, a CBRE Data Center Solutions unit, seeks a Technician II to support installation, decommissioning and maintenance of network cabling in a data center environment. You will ensure safety, quality, and cleanliness while coordinating with stakeholders on project progress.

You will handle copper and fiber testing, splice work, and field terminations, reading blueprints, and supporting MDF/IDF closet layouts. This role is onsite in US data centers with a focus on reliability.

Qualifications

• Current LEA or LEB license required and active.
• Reading and understanding blueprints, wiring schemes and floor plans.
• Experience with copper and fiber testing and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Installation/decommissioning of network and cabling in a Data Center.
• Deliver repeatable, quality-focused solutions and process improvements.
• Provide structured feedback on project progress to stakeholders.
• Maintain data center cleanliness and safety compliance.
• Follow all standards, codes and best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Read blueprints and build docs; perform terminations and labeling.
• Layout MDF/IDF closets and manage low voltage cabling.
