Job summary

CBRE DIRECTLINE is seeking a Cable Technician – Technician II to install and decommission network and cabling in a data center, ensuring safety and quality. You will pull and terminate copper and fiber, troubleshoot circuits, and maintain documentation while collaborating with stakeholders.

The role requires ability to read blueprints and understand data center technologies; experience in data centers preferred.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand job floor plans.
• Clear understanding of safety requirements.
• Ability to read wiring schematics.
• Experience with copper and fiber cabling.
• Capable of field terminations and labeling.
• Experience in data center environments preferred.
• Strong documentation skills.

• Be able to manage mid-size projects.

• Install/decommission network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment.
• Delivers sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement.
• Provide structured feedback on project progress to Stakeholders.
• Exhibit quality workmanship and maintain Data Center cleanliness.
• Follow safety and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Reading blueprints and building documentation.
• Broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies.
