Job summary

CBRE Directline, a CBRE Data Center Solutions business, seeks a Cable Technician II to install, decommission, and maintain network cabling in a data center environment. You will deliver repeatable solutions, support project decisions, and ensure cleanliness and safety across critical infrastructure.

The role emphasizes reading blueprints, fiber/copper testing, and working with MDF/IDF closet layouts, with collaboration across stakeholders to drive projects forward.

Qualifications

• Current LEA or LEB license required.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Knowledge and use of basic telecom hand tools.
• Read and understand job floor plans.
• Familiarity with wiring schemes and testing.
• Ability to pull low voltage cable and perform terminations.
• Capable of supervising others on midsize projects.
• Layout of MDF/IDF closets; terminate and label cables.

Responsibilities

• Install and decommission data center cabling infrastructure.
• Deliver sustainable, repeatable solutions and process improvements.
• Provide structured feedback on project progress to stakeholders.
• Maintain data center cleanliness and quality workmanship.
