Job summary

A leading technology firm is seeking a DC Whitespace SME & Architect to join their Center of Excellence. This role involves defining AI-ready compute floor standards, leading design assurance reviews, and establishing global rack layout and density standards. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in data center design, particularly in high-density environments. Qualifications

• 10–12 years in data center design or operations engineering.
• Strong experience in high-density & AI-enabled whitespace design.
• Deep understanding of power distribution, containment & airflow optimization.
• Knowledge of capacity modeling and whitespace analytics.
• Experience with liquid cooling and high-density deployments.
• CFD / thermal modeling exposure.

Responsibilities

• Define AI-ready compute floor standards including rack layouts.
• Lead design assurance reviews for complex deployments.
• Establish global rack layout, zoning & density standards.
• Develop capacity engineering frameworks aligned with business and workload forecasts.
• Standardize containment, airflow and thermal zoning best practices.
• Maintain reference layouts for enterprise, hyperscale and AI-driven environments.
• Govern adoption of standards across regions and partners.
• Support emerging liquid-cooled and high-density rack technologies.
• Provide expert escalation support for atypical design scenarios.

About the Role

We are seeking a DC Whitespace SME & Architect to join our Center of Excellence (CoE). This role shapes global standards for compute‑floor engineering and ensures scalable, efficient, and future‑ready data center whitespace deployments.

You will drive frameworks for rack density, AI‑ready compute designs, thermal zoning, capacity engineering, and design assurance across global programs.

• ✔ Define AI‑ready compute floor standards including high‑density rack layouts, liquid cooling readiness & GPU expansion
• ✔ Lead design assurance reviews for complex or high‑risk deployments
• ✔ Establish global rack layout, zoning & density standards
• ✔ Develop capacity engineering frameworks aligned with business and workload forecasts

• ✔ Maintain reference layouts for enterprise, hyperscale & AI‑driven environments

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance‑based bonuses subject to company policies.
