Job summary

Connect Tech+Talent in Austin, TX invites a Data Business Analyst for a long‑term contract. You will combine data analysis, business analysis, and data profiling to translate requirements into data‑driven solutions using SQL and Power BI.

You will develop and maintain reports, collaborate with stakeholders, define KPIs, and present findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or Data Business Analyst.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL and writing complex queries for analysis and validation.
• Experience with data profiling, data analysis, data validation, and data quality.
• Understanding of business analysis and requirements gathering.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Hands‑on experience with report development and data‑driven reporting solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into data requirements and analytical solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate business and data requirements into clear, actionable technical and functional requirements.
• Perform detailed data analysis, data profiling, validation, and quality assessment across data sources.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries to extract, analyze, validate, and reconcile data.
• Identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, anomalies, and trends, and work with teams to resolve.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data teams, developers, and cross‑functional teams to deliver data solutions.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain reports and analytical solutions based on business requirements.
• Create data‑driven insights and present findings clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Document business requirements, data requirements, mappings, and business rules.
• Perform data validation and testing to ensure reports meet expectations.
• Support dashboards and KPI definitions and metrics.
• Participate in requirements gathering, stakeholder discussions, data analysis, testing and implementation.
• Communicate complex data concepts and findings effectively to audiences.
