Job summary

LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Business Analyst in Dallas, TX for a contract-to-hire role. The candidate will translate business requirements into scalable data solutions, build/maintain Power BI dashboards, and automate processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.

The role liaises between business leadership and technical teams, turning operational needs into data models, ETL logic, and reporting outputs. Strong SQL and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IS/CS/Business or related field.
• 2+ years in Business/Data Analyst roles.
• Strong SQL skills with optimizing queries, stored procedures, views, and joins (SQL Server preferred).
• Experience designing/developing Power BI dashboards/reports.
• Translating business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Strong communication to present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Lead/facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, planning, reviews, retrospectives).

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical specs for data models, ETL, and reporting solutions.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards/reports for real-time KPI visibility.
• Write and optimize SQL Server queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views.
• Develop Python-based automation workflows to reduce manual effort.
• Design and support ETL pipelines for analytics and BI workflows.
• Manage Power BI workspace permissions, data refreshes, and scheduling via Power Automate.
• Create ad hoc reports to support decisions.
• Partner with stakeholders across operations, finance, and leadership to deliver solutions.
• Present data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership.
