Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking an experienced outpatient coder to annotate and review medical records, assign ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes, and apply E/M leveling to outpatient visits.

The role involves collaborating with project stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities in clinical documentation, and provide feedback to improve coding guidelines and workflows.

Qualifications

• Active AAPC CPC certification is required.
• Comprehensive understanding of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding systems and outpatient E/M leveling guidelines.
• Hands-on experience coding in outpatient settings.
• Experience with diverse clinical documentation types and associated coding challenges.
• Proficiency with written and verbal communication, with strong attention to clarity and detail.
