Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking an experienced outpatient medical coder (CPC) to annotate and review medical records, ensuring accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding for outpatient visits.

You will apply E/M leveling and outpatient coding conventions, collaborating with project stakeholders to resolve ambiguities in clinical documentation and provide clear guidance on coding guidelines and edge cases to improve workflows.

Qualifications

• Active CPC certification is required.
• Comprehensive understanding of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding systems for outpatient services.
• Hands-on experience coding in outpatient settings.
• Experience with diverse clinical documentation and coding challenges.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.

Requirements
