Allied Benefit Systems seeks a Supervisor of Data Analytics and Reporting in Chicago to guide a team delivering data analysis, reporting, and infrastructure support. You will modernize the reporting stack and drive scalable, data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field or equivalent work experience required.
• At least 5 years of experience in data analytics with leadership potential.
• 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
• Proven experience with data warehouses, SQL, and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data transformation (ETL/ELT), and relational databases.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience mentoring analytical teams with varied experience levels.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as final reviewer and approver for reports, dashboards, and data outputs.
• Perform QA and validation checks to ensure accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
• Lead complex analytics projects including data modeling and KPI development.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into data-driven solutions.
• Define and maintain standards for reporting accuracy and documentation.
• Recommend improvements in data processes, query efficiency, and dashboard usability.
• Provide mentorship and training to analysts and the reporting coordinator.
• Share expertise in SQL techniques and best practices to elevate technical capabilities.
• Directly manage a team of analysts and reporting coordinators, including performance management.
• Act as escalation point for complex data requests or reporting issues.
• Lead modernization of the reporting stack and introduce self-service capabilities.
