Job summary

FMI is seeking a Business Analyst to advance SQFI's analytics by transforming certification, audit, customer, and financial data into actionable insights. You will build dashboards in Power BI, write SQL, and apply Python-based methods to forecast outcomes for leadership.

You will lead data integration, requirements gathering, and process improvements across IT, vendors, and stakeholders, delivering executive-ready recommendations and documentation.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience as a Business Analyst in a food safety, regulatory, or audit environment.
• Degree in IS, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Engineering, Finance or related field.
• Strong skills with ERP, data analysis, data integration, and reporting tools like SAS/Power BI/Tableau.
• Experience with Python and SQL; Power Platform knowledge is a plus.
• Proven documentation, data analysis and Agile/Scrum project methods.

Responsibilities

• Advance SQFI's BI and analytics from data to actionable insights.
• Build dashboards and predictive analyses; deliver executive-ready recommendations.
• Develop data models, pipelines, semantic layers, and data quality foundations.
• Lead data integration across systems and manage requirement gathering.
• Collaborate with IT, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time.
• Create clear documentation, process maps, and KPI reports for leadership.
• Lead testing efforts, UAT, and change management during system updates.
• Train business users and provide post-implementation support.
• Drive process improvements to optimize audit management and workflows.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
