Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Analytics Manager based in United States. This is a high-impact, player-coach leadership role focused on building and scaling a high-performing analytics function. You will manage a lean team of Data Analysts while remaining hands-on with analytical work and business problem-solving. The role combines people leadership, analytical rigor, strategic prioritization, and cross-functional partnership. You will help evolve data practices, improve quality, and establish scalable ways of working as the organization grows. You’ll work across the modern analytics stack, from raw and modeled data to dashboards, data products, and business insights. The role also offers the opportunity to shape how analytics teams adapt to rapidly evolving AI capabilities and workflows. It is an ideal opportunity for an experienced analytics leader who enjoys building teams, simplifying complexity, and creating measurable business impact.

Accountabilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Data Analysts, helping them strengthen analytical judgment, technical methods, communication, and ownership.
  • Participate in hiring and assessment of future analytics team members, identifying candidates with strong technical, business, and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Own the quality and effectiveness of analytical work, providing guidance on methodology, rigor, assumptions, communication, and practical conclusions.
  • Improve scalable data practices, including work prioritization, review processes, knowledge sharing, quality standards, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Guide the team as it evolves from broad shared context toward meaningful specialization across products, regions, systems, and business functions.
  • Remain hands-on with analytical work, including SQL, data modeling, deep analysis, dashboards, and internal data products.
  • Help teams identify the underlying business need behind analytical requests and determine the appropriate level of data and analysis required.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to translate ambiguous business questions into actionable insights and high-value analytical projects.
  • Contribute to the evolution of data practices and workflows in response to the growing impact of AI on analytics, self-service data, and internal decision-making.
  • Promote thoughtful, transparent, and accessible use of data while balancing quantitative evidence with qualitative context, user understanding, and sound judgment.
  • Help a lean analytics function scale effectively as the organization becomes more complex and data demand increases.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, analytics leadership, or a closely related field, preferably within a high-growth, product-oriented technology company.
  • Proven experience managing, leading, coaching, or functionally guiding data practitioners; formal people-management experience is valuable but equivalent leadership experience may also be considered.
  • Exceptional analytical judgment, with the ability to calibrate the depth and rigor of analysis according to the decision and level of uncertainty involved.
  • Deep hands-on SQL experience and strong familiarity with modern cloud data warehouses and analytical data environments.
  • Working fluency with dbt-style data modeling, data transformation, and BI or data visualization tools.
  • Ability to work across the analytical data stack, from raw and modeled data through analysis, dashboards, and data products.
  • Strong written and visual communication skills, including the ability to create clear narratives, tables, charts, definitions, and conclusions without overstating certainty.
  • Strong business acumen and a product-oriented mindset, with the ability to uncover the core need behind requests and turn ambiguous questions into useful outcomes.
  • Experience building or improving processes that enable a small, high-performing team to prioritize effectively and deliver quality work at scale.
  • Pragmatic and intellectually flexible approach to decision-making, understanding when data is valuable and when other forms of evidence or reasoning may be more appropriate.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across different functions.
  • Comfort operating in an environment where priorities evolve quickly and where simplicity, ownership, autonomy, and sound judgment are highly valued.
  • Interest in the evolving role of AI in analytics, data accessibility, analytical workflows, and business decision-making.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary and equity.
  • 10-year exercise window for stock options.
  • Unlimited paid time off, with an emphasis on taking meaningful time away from work.
  • Minimum of 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave, with potentially longer leave outside the US depending on local requirements.
  • Generous budget for equipment, software, and home office furniture.
  • $100/month education budget, with additional support for higher-cost learning opportunities such as conferences subject to manager approval.
  • For US employees, high-quality health insurance for employees and dependents, with 100% of premiums covered.
  • For employees outside the US, supplemental health insurance for employees and dependents, fully covered.
  • Remote-first work environment with employee hubs and opportunities to meet in person throughout the year.
  • An environment focused on autonomy, continuous learning, meaningful challenges, and high-impact work.
