Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Data Analyst based in the United States.

As a Lead Data Analyst, you will play a central role in turning complex data into strategic decisions across both product and customer-facing teams.

You’ll define and own key metrics around product adoption, engagement, retention, and customer health.

Working closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales, you’ll influence decisions from product discovery through delivery.

You’ll also help demonstrate customer outcomes by developing analyses and narratives for business reviews and executive conversations.

The role combines hands‑on analytics with stakeholder leadership, process improvement, and long‑term data strategy.

You’ll have significant autonomy to identify opportunities, establish scalable solutions, and improve how teams work with data.

You’ll also mentor fellow analysts and help raise the technical and strategic impact of the broader analytics function.

Accountabilities
  • Define, develop, and own measurement frameworks for product initiatives, including success metrics, instrumentation, adoption, engagement, retention, and customer health.
  • Identify opportunities to automate, scale, and improve recurring data processes, creating more efficient and reliable ways to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Serve as a data subject‑matter expert, helping internal teams understand and effectively use data while representing data priorities across the organization.
  • Conduct analyses that deepen understanding of employee health and wellbeing trends, customer interests, user journeys, and product performance.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers throughout the product lifecycle to ensure data informs discovery, prioritization, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Sales to demonstrate product impact, develop customer‑facing insights, and create compelling narratives for QBRs and executive reviews.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and communicate findings effectively to technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Work with fellow analysts to develop a holistic approach to stakeholder data needs and establish scalable, long‑term analytics practices.
  • Improve data governance, documentation, workflows, and reusable analytical assets to reduce complexity and improve consistency.
  • Mentor and coach analysts, sharing technical expertise and helping raise the quality and impact of the analytics team.
  • Independently identify and lead projects that address both immediate business needs and longer‑term opportunities to improve data capabilities.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Analyst, Customer Analyst, or in a similar analytical role, ideally within a fast‑paced startup, health‑tech, or B2B SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrated ownership of customer‑facing initiatives and stakeholder relationships, particularly in consulting, SaaS, or other collaborative business environments.
  • Strong hands‑on SQL expertise, ideally including experience with SQL transformations using dbt.
  • Experience using Python or R for data analysis, including statistical analysis and interpretation.
  • Experience with modern data stack technologies such as Databricks, dbt, and Looker.
  • Proven ability to translate complex datasets into concise, actionable insights that can be understood by executives, customers, and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Experience designing measurement strategies for products or customer programs, including defining KPIs, instrumentation requirements, and analytical frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for long‑term process improvements, data governance, automation, and scalable analytical solutions.
  • Experience building, maintaining, or improving automated systems and processes for recurring data needs is preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Product, Engineering, Design, Sales, Customer Success, and Analytics.
  • Self‑directed and comfortable working autonomously in ambiguous environments, with a strong ability to bring structure and clarity to complex problems.
  • Collaborative mindset with a commitment to sharing knowledge, improving team practices, and raising the overall impact of analytics.
  • Strong curiosity, critical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on understanding the underlying business need rather than simply responding to a stated request.
Benefits
  • Competitive base compensation of approximately $145,000–$175,000 annually, depending on experience, expertise, and other relevant factors.
  • Additional performance bonus and equity opportunities as part of the overall compensation package.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) program with company match.
  • Generous paid time‑off programs designed to support rest and recovery.
  • Additional paid time off through a dedicated recharge benefit following major projects or particularly demanding periods.
  • Mission‑driven environment focused on improving health, wellbeing, and resilience for people around the world.
  • Opportunities for professional development, career growth, and meaningful influence on product and business strategy.
  • Supportive, human‑centered culture with wellness‑focused benefits and a strong commitment to inclusion.
  • Commitment to equal employment opportunity and reasonable accommodations throughout the hiring process.
